Steve Astle is a senior communication strategist and practitioner who specializes in strategy alignment, organizational purpose and change management surrounding high-stakes business initiatives. He has worked with many hypergrowth and iconic Fortune 500 companies and has built and led high-performing global teams in corporate, consulting and agency settings.
He is the chairman of the Stanford Alumni Consulting Team management board and a member of the TEDxMarin advisory board.

Steve is a communication strategist and hands-on practitioner who specializes in high-stakes business initiatives. A former CCO and global practice leader at top agencies, Steve Astle has advised Bloomberg, Cisco, eBay, FICO, Flex, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Oracle, PayPal, Schneider Electric and many other organizations concerning crises and matters of business change and transformation.
Steve is regularly called upon to consult with organizations in the midst of crises and related reputational risks. His goal is always to help his clients emerge stronger than when the incident began.
He has personally led crisis response teams at the center of the global financial crisis in 2008, the world’s first cyberattack on civilian infrastructure, incidents involving elected officials and corporate board members, and a range of complex litigation matters where the reputation risk was significant.
An alumnus of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Steve currently serves as chair of the Stanford Alumni Consulting Team management board and as a member of the TEDxMarin advisory board.
He also holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology.
